Mission
"Children want the same things we want. To laugh, to be challenged, to be entertained, and delighted." -- Dr. Seuss
Dublin TOP or the Dublin Tennis Outreach Program is a student run non profit organization that is giving back to the community through the unique sport of tennis. A group of like minded individuals who found a passion in such an amazing sport, looking to promote it to today’s youth through cost-free tennis clinics. Our mission in doing so is to provide an opportunity that many may never have the chance at. By introducing this sport to kids at such a young age, they could develop a potential passion for the sport and could later on down the road, take this passion to new heights that is hard to imagine. Many of our students when they had first joined Dublin TOP had never picked up a tennis racket before, as a matter of fact, many parents have told us that they had never even considered tennis as a possible sport for their children. What is so astonishing is that although these kids were complete strangers to the sport at first, they fell in love with it almost instantly, consistently coming back every week to give it all they got. At the end of the day, this is our mission, our purpose. We want to spread the influence of tennis on today’s youth, but rather than through monetary purpose, we look to do this through community service as we believe it is terribly unreasonable for any family of any socioeconomic status to have to pay just for their child to dip their feet in any sort of sport.
